Today, Pontiflex CEO Zephrin Lasker joined Brooklyn elected officials and business leaders to rally in support of the NYU Poly-Tech proposal for a new applied sciences campus at 370 Jay Street in Dumbo. Yesterday we spent the day with some mobile rockstars at PaidContent Mobile 2011. The biggest rockstar of them all being Angry Birds creator, Peter Vesterbacka.
Vesterbacka took the stage along with Andrew Stalbow, SVP, Fox Digital Entertainment (and a quiet stuffed angry bird). Vesterbacka and Stalbow described how they took an app and made it into an entertainment franchise complete with a feature digital film and counterfeit merchandise from China. Google, Microsoft and Pontiflex came together yesterday for a panel moderated by the IAB to discuss “Mobile Marketing Best Practices”. The panel was held at Appnation’s Advertising and Media Summit here in NYC.

The Pontiflex Mobile Team showed great form at the Backspin Xbox Kinect Table Tennis Tournament last weekend.
Backspin 2011 is a charity tournament for the New York tech community hosted by TechiesGiveBack.org. All proceeds from the event benefitted Child’s Play, a nonprofit which provides books, games, and consoles to hospitals across North America. Pontiflex was a proud sponsor of the event.
