According to IBM’s Digital Analytics Benchmark survey, 24 percent of consumers used a mobile
device to visit a retailer’s site over Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, up from 14.3 percent last year. On Cyber Monday, IBM reported that more than 18 percent of shoppers used a mobile device to access a retailer’s website, an increase of 70 percent over 2011. Purchases from mobile devices almost doubled, making up 13 percent of total Web-based purchases, the company said.
