Mary Meeker recently pointed to monetization being a problem in the mobile world.
According to an article in CNET news in-app advertising is set to reach $2.4 billion by the end of the year. A study by Juniper Research projects that in-app advertising will reach $7 billion by 2015. This growth suggests that developers can and should tap into in-app advertising to make more money.
And that’s not all, in-app purchases accounted for $970 million in revenue last year. When it comes to mobile,in-app advertising and purchasing solutions seems to be the way. That makes sense too. Directing people out o the app makes for a ppr and disruptive user experience – one that can make just more than birds angry.
