AppLeads + Android = All the Rage

Earlier this week, Pontiflex announced that its mobile platform AppLeads is now available on Android. This comes just a few weeks after Appleads launched on the iPhone.
“Android is more important,” said Zephrin Lasker, CEO and Co-founder of Pontiflex, to Business Insider. Not to knock the iPhone, but this was said for good reason.
These include:
1. The Android platform has more market share and is growing faster.
2. There’s not a long approval time for Android apps (whereas there’s about a 2-3 week turn around with Apple).
3. Over 50% of apps are free on Android, while only 20% are free on the iPhone. Free apps are more likely to serve ads, so there’s more opportunity for app developers to monetize with ads on Android.
Zephrin’s quote spurred much discussion in the press and the blogosphere. Check out some of the coverage: DIGIDAY: DAILY, Business Insider, The San Francisco Chronicle, Android Community and Android Guys.
Other blogs that picked up the AppLeads and Android announcement include: TechBlogstoday, Yahoo!, Apple News Daily, Mobile App Watch, Andigg, AndroidPhonesblog, Simplydroid, Android Phone Fans, Downloadapp.net, Insidecellphone.com, Mobile Underground, TalkAndroid.com, TechAlps, Android Status, Androidfyi.com, Androiiid, Appmobilize, among others.
