A New Year, A Whole Lot of News

We’re five days into 2010 and already, there’s a lot going on.
The
mobile market has been quite busy, with Apple acquiring Quattro Wireless and AdMob releasing a new study showing over 1 billion ad requests from Android phones.
We’re getting predictions for the year ahead – the most notable thus far from Imran Khan, who predicts that display spending will go up 10.5% this year.
One of the oldest government institutions has suddenly become one of the tech savviest as the US Postal Service creates an iPhone app to appeal to younger demographics.
And we’re seeing traditional advertising get a push, as the Outdoor Advertising Association and ad agency Beta run an outdoor campaign with controversial copy to prove that the medium still has what it takes to generate audience response.
Cheers to the start of a great new year.
