Pontiflex Launches Custom Cost-Per-Lead Banner Ads
July 14, 2008
Today we launched AdUnit X, a new banner unit that allows advertisers to buy display advertising on a CPL basis. We wanted to explain some of the details behind this announcement to you.
- AdUnit X banners allow users to submit information to advertisers from within the banner without clicking-through to a landing page.
- AdUnit X enable advertisers to get higher conversion rates (as there are no click-throughs)
- Allow publishers to get better user stickiness metrics (user stays on publisher page)
- Ideal for brand marketers
What’s more, AdUnit X banners can be created by advertisers using simple drop down menus on our ad management platform. Advertisers already use the Pontiflex ad management platform to connect with publishers, set up campaigns, view performance reports, and optimize placements from one central console. Now they can create AdUnit X banners and place them on publisher sites selected through the Pontiflex GENList.

Here’s a screenshot of an AdUnit X campaign from our client Tripmela.com, an industry leading travel web site focused on India
The user enters his/her information inside the banner. Once they click ’submit’, the data is transferred from the publisher to the advertiser using Pontiflex’s patent-pending data transfer technology.
Collateral
- Here’s a one pager on the AdUnit X technology, that explains the value proposition in greater detail.
- Social networks have recently struggled to monetize their websites in the midst of falling click-through rates. AdUnit X banners can be served contextually with user generated content and drive advertiser conversion rates, and help publishers monetize revenue. Here’s a one pager about why AdUnit X is especially appropriate for social networks.
Zephrin Lasker, CEO and Co-founder of Pontiflex explains the rationale behind this new technology, “Giving advertisers the ability to create AdUnit X banners is a strong addition to our one stop shop campaign management platform. With this release, advertisers can use Pontiflex to get even greater returns on online marketing.”
