Get ready for mobile marketing now

As the cost of the iPhone gets smaller, the mobile world will get bigger. Mobile marketing is set to take off in a big way. Industry experts at the Mobile Marketing Forum in New York certainly seem to think so. To quote one thought leader, Steen Andersson, founder and VP of marketing at 5th Finger: “Android and iPhone are going to generate ecosystems in their own right.”

Mobile marketing provides a targeted and relevant way to engage consumers (imagine a text message coupon for a discount on a six pack of beer before the SuperBowl).

The time to be building that mobile phone database is right now. The brand marketer that builds quality mobile databases faster will gain that much vaunted early mover advantage.

Co-registration advertising gives marketers a great way to build mobile advertising databases in a cost-efficient manner. Marketers pay only for the lead and that too from an interested customer who has chosen to enter her/his phone number.
