InfoUSA to target India, China

You might remember InfoUSA, the company that ran the much panned and stereotypical ads during the Super Bowl for SalesGenie.com. The media dubbed the ads as racist.

At this blog we felt that the product didn’t make for good business either – who wants sales leads that have not opted in to a specific offer and to boot, are being sold to by many competing vendors?

One ad featured a Chinese panda and the other featured a hassled Indian.

Well, guess what. InfoUSA now plans to expand operations in China and India.

There is a marketing textbook somewhere in this story. I just have to figure it out.
