ValueClick to pay $2.9MM

So its official. The government confirmed today that ValueClick will pay $2.9MM for failing to protect consumer privacy.

While government agencies like the FTC have a stellar role in ensuring government compliance, advertisers will play a more important role in demanding innovation that provides consumers with a more relevant online experience, and consequently produces better leads.
