Shareholders file class action against ValueClick

I don’t know about the monsoons. But I do know that it never rains lawsuits. It always pours lawsuits.

Yet another shareholder class action suit
has been filed against ValueClick Media on behalf of all purchasers of securities for Valueclick. These law suits contend that ValueClick’s lead generation practices violated the Securities Exchange Act and Federal Trade Commission Guielines.

Whether ValueClick Media is at fault or not is not for me to say.

Nevertheless, this controversy highlights the importance of maximizing transparency in lead generation marketing. Sure, ensuring complete transparency can help win the trust of the consumer. Equally important, it helps maintain public indices of performance such as stock prices and acquisition value.

More on this as the story unfolds.
